Date: Saturday, August 14, 2021

Time: 2-4p

Location: Oakhurst

Investment: $30 *10% off for members

A workshop for ALL space holders geared towards creating space for all communities.

In this workshop, we’ll explore the language that we use as space holders and learn how to broaden our awareness to create more affirming space for all communities.

Language is an incredibly important part of how we communicate with the world around us. Often, it’s how we outwardly express our feelings, emotions, thoughts, and experiences. It’s also one of the best ways to show our respect for and hold space for those around us. Language is energy and vibration entering the manifest world. Needless to say, awareness around the language that we use is quite important.

During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to broaden your existing knowledge as a facilitator, whether it be yoga asana, meditation, community discussion, and beyond. We’ll be learning, un-learning, and relearning what our verbiage can look like throughout the time that we are holding space. By the end of our session, you’ll have gained an understanding of how you can effectively empower and affirm ALL students entering your space.

Location: Oakhurst

A workshop designed to give you the tools and knowledge to take your practice into your hands and claim power in your space.

The practice of yoga is meant to be a practice of liberation. Sometimes entering a studio space can be overwhelming, especially if you aren’t familiar with the props, the poses, the sequence, or the language that the teacher is using. This workshop is designed to offer you, as the practitioner, a way to empower your practice and find liberation on your mat.

We’ll take a look at the tools you have available to you that can support and engage your practice in new ways — from blocks, to blankets, to chairs, and more. There will be asana (pose) breakdowns to give you different variations in shapes, whether you’re looking to find restful support or add intensity. And we’ll explore some commonly used language that can give you a foundation of understanding as you move deeper into your practice.

Whether it is your first few times on the mat or you’ve been practicing for decades, this workshop will offer you a deeper understanding of this practice and give you the tools you need to access liberation on (and off) your mat.
